The Geometry of Functional Logic

One definition of art is to reveal hidden aspects of reality to human perception. I see scientific visualization as being fully aligned with that mission. My goal is to convert—utilizing both conventional and unconventional techniques—invisible underlying data into visually graspable concepts, to reveal the inherent complexity of systems: from molecular machines and biological processes to abstract mathematical fields.

3D Scakar Field

Emergent Topology in 4D Scalar Fields

An exploration of temporal isosurface generation. By mapping time-varying scalar functions to 3D surfaces, this visualization captures the fluid evolution of mathematical fields. This technique is essential for visualizing fluctuating concentration gradients.

Hydrophobic Potential in Coiled-Coil

Isosurfaces of Lipophilic Affinity

The primary driving force of protein association is the hydrophobic interaction. This hydrophobic pseudo-potential in a Coiled-Coil domain illustrates how this interaction occurs at the interface of two helices.

Statics Dynamics

Mapping Conformational Space

A "Static-Dynamic" representation of protein flexibility. Instead of a single snapshot, this rendering overlays an ensemble of wireframe trajectories, providing a direct visual of the structural volume occupied by the domain during functional signaling.
